Design
My thoughts on design
are simple. First, the needs of the space or the user must be
satisfied. A brand new kitchen may look great, but if you
can't cook in it, then it doesn't work. Second, everything in
the space must relate to everything else. In other words, all
the elements need to live in the same world. There are many
different people and spaces and I don't think they should all
look the same. But, it is important that the components of a
particular space look like they fit together. This is the reason
that the yin yang symbol is part of our logo. It represents the
balance and harmony of basic contrasting elements and this is
our goal. Finally, the design has to fit the budget. We don't
believe that in order to make something better you keep throwing
money at it. That only makes it cost more. What is important is
making great choices within the parameters of each project.
Functionality, harmony, and affordability, this is how DAO
Studios, Inc. is making things beautiful.
